Setting Up Gateway Routing Automation
Payment gateway routing is the process of dynamically routing transactions between payment gateways, based on real-time data and selected parameters.
To configure payment routing you must have more than one gateway account connected to Payments AI.
In order for Gateway Routing rules to work, you first must enable Automation Rules. IMPORTANT NOTE: Automation rules are a Pro Feature that require extra charges. There is a 0.5% per transaction fee to enable this feature.
Adding a New Rule
First, click Automation Rules tab from the top menu:
From there, on the left side menu, click Gateways under Automation Rules:
Then click the bottom “Add New Rule”
Route clients to the appropriate gateway account, based on selected conditions, to minimize fees, maximize approval rates, or mitigate your risks in 3 steps:
1 . Name your Rule
2 . Set Conditions - Define conditions to filter when this rule should run. If the conditions do not match for this event then the next rule in line will be processed
You can set various conditions for example, “Transaction Bank Country is in Europe”
Your can set rules based on the following conditions:
3 . Set Weight for each Gateway - This action controls which gateway account will be selected based on the algorithm and weighted distributions set below. Select the algorithm used for selecting the gateway account.
Once you have your rule parameters set, click to toggle on the rule at the upper left corner of the screen, then click SAVE at the bottom to save the rule.
