Unable to Process a Refund

Process Refunds from your ClickFunnels 2.0 Account

First, please be sure to initiate the refund from within your ClickFunnels 2.0 account. For more about what actions you can do from your ClickFunnels account, click here.

Refund Failure: Not Enough Funds in the Account

The most common reason for refund failure is that there are not enough funds in the account to cover the refund. If you have already received a payout and all that is in the account is the refund reserve, you will not be able to process a refund if the amount exceeds the refund reserve.

For example, if your refund reserve is $100 and the amount of the refund is $200, the refund will not go through. There are two ways to resolve this:

Refund Failure: Funds Tied Up in Pending Payout

If you have funds about to be paid out in a pending transfer and there is not enough refund reserve to cover it, you will not be able to process the refund.

Solutions

Solution 1: Wait for another sale to come through so that there will be adequate funds in the account to process the refund.

Solution 2: Reach out to Payments AI support to request a payment link so that you can fund your account and process the refund. You can reach support by clicking the support widget at the bottom right of the screen or email support@payments.ai.

**Please note, once funds are paid it can take up to 72 hours to reflect in the account at which point the refund can be processed. In these cases, it is best practice to let your customer know the refund may take up to 14 days to reflect in their account which will allow time for this process as well as regular refund processing time.

**When sending in a request to fund your account, please include your org ID. This number can be found by clicking your Account Name in the upper right-hand corner of your Payments AI dashboard, then click Settings. Your organization ID will be the first number listed on that page under Account information.

Recommendation on Refund Reserve

To help avoid a situation where you are unable to refund a transaction, we recommend that you set your refund reserve to at least the amount of your average sale.

To request a change in your refund reserve, reach support by clicking the blue support widget at the bottom right of the screen or email support@payments.ai.

If you are ever unsure about why a refund will not process or if you need any help, please reach out!
