This document will help you through the registration process when applying for the Payments AI gateway as a sole proprietorship from United Kingdom as well as EU countries Spain, Italy and Germany.
Step 1: Add Your Business Information
Complete the “business information” section. Be sure to tick the box under website name to acknowledge that your website contains all the required website compliance items like terms and conditions, refund policy, privacy policy, etc.
(These first few pages of the application will looks very similar to the US application as shown below)
When applying as a sole proprietor, under business type, be sure to select Sole Proprietor from the drop-down:
Step 2: Add your Business Address
This can be your personal address when applying as a sole proprietor.
Step 3: Add Your Name
Step 4: Open the Onboarding Form
Click the “Open Form” button to open the onboarding form where you will enter additional details as well as banking information:
Step 5: Complete ALL Sections of the Onboarding Form
Be sure to complete all the sections of the form as well as sign the Services Agreement and PCI DSS questionnaire.
Step 8: Payout Details
Follow the instructions on the page to verify your banking information. (Payoneer bank accounts are not accepted) Continue on to the summary page where you can review your information, then click Submit.
***Note: Currency conversions are handled using the current exchange rate at the time of the transaction. We use Refinitiv for accurate currency exchange data. The transaction amount is converted to the merchant's preferred settlement currency supported by Payments AI at the time the transaction occurs.
***Payoneer bank accounts are not accepted***
Step 9: Sign Service Agreement and PCI DSS questionnaire
First, click on the service agreement, review, then choose your name from the drop-down and tick the box that you accept. Then click Sign.
In the same way, click on the PCI DSS questionnaire, review, choose your name from the drop-down and tick the box that you accept. Then click Sign.
If there are any errors in the form or any of the information cannot be validated, you will see a red tag that says “unsuccessful” next to that section. Go back into the section to find and correct the issue.
If everything is verified successfully, you will see a green tag that says “Verified.”
Once all sections and completed and verified you will be able to accept payments!
IMPORTANT: If we are unable to verify any of your documents, this may delay approval of your account. In addition, a website review is part of the approval process. If your website is unfinished or simply says "coming soon", this will also delay approval.
