What is 3D Secure Authentication (3DS)?
3DS is a security protocol used to authenticate users. It requires customers to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer when paying. This provides an extra layer of protection for payment card transactions in card-not-present scenarios. This helps to prevent unauthorized transactions and reduce chargebacks.
How do I Enable 3D Secure Authentication (3DS)?
Go to the Gateways Tab from the top menu. From there, click configure next to the gateway that you want to enable 3DS for:
Scroll down to 3-D Secure and click the Toggle Button to either enable or disable 3DS:
***Important note***By default, 3DS will be disabled. If you require this authentication, please follow the steps above to enable it.
