There are a few steps involved when connecting the Coinbase gateway. We will cover the process in detail below.
To connect the Coinbase gateway, you will need to provide an API key, add an endpoint to the webhooks subscriptions and set a tolerance percentage.
IMPORTANT: You will need to have a Coinbase Commerce account in order to get connected. If you do not have one, you can apply here: https://www.coinbase.com/commerce
API Key
The first step is to add the API Key. Click the arrow next to Where Can I Find my API Key to expand the instructions for finding this information:
Webhook Subscription
After you have applied the API Key, you will copy the webhook URL, open the Notifications tab and click "add and endpoint". Then paste the webhook and Save.
Testing the endpoint connection can take up to 60 seconds. Please do not close the window.
Tolerance Percentage
The last step is to enter a tolerance percentage from 0% - 100%. This allows you to set the percentage of your order's transaction value that you think is an acceptable slippage cost for you. This percentage is called your slippage tolerance. The order will not be executed if the actual transaction's value exceeds your slippage tolerance.
IMPORTANT: At this time, Coinbase is not available as a check-out element in ClickFunnels 2.0. You can create a Manual Order in ClickFunnels 2.0 and send an invoice to your customers, Coinbase will be an available option for your customers to pay with if you have successfully connected the gateway. (Click Here for instructions on how to send an invoice link from an existing order in ClickFunnels 2.0.)
