There are a few steps involved when connecting the Coinbase gateway. We will cover the process in detail below.
To connect the Coinbase gateway, you will need to provide an API key, add an endpoint to the webhooks subscriptions, and set a tolerance percentage.
IMPORTANT: You will need to have a Coinbase Commerce account in order to get connected. If you do not have one, you can apply here: https://www.coinbase.com/commerce
Create your new API key:
Copy New Key:
Login into Payments AI and go to the gateways panel. Click the connect button on the Coinbase card and paste your API key. Click Next step.
Copy the URL and go back to the Coinbase page and go to the notifications tab: https://beta.commerce.coinbase.com/settings/notifications
Click Add an endpoint:
Past full URL and click save.
Go back to Payments AI and click the Next Button. This step may take up to 60 seconds.
After successful verification, you should be able to click the Success button and go further. Type Tolerance Percentage and everything is done. Now we will wait for the last call from this gateway that everything is fine and you are ready to use Payments AI with Coinbase!
Important Notes: Coinbase may also require an Ethereum wallet on your account before it can be fully active. It can also be added in settings options under the tab ‘Deposits’.
If your connection still doesn’t work, then we need to whitelist our server so that Coinbase knows that it isn’t fake. To do that, go to: https://beta.commerce.coinbase.com/settings/security and click “Whitelist a domain”. Paste into the input https://api.payments.ai and confirm. Retry again to verify the webhook.
IMPORTANT: At this time, Coinbase is not available as a checkout element in ClickFunnels 2.0. You can create a Manual Order in ClickFunnels 2.0 and send an invoice to your customers. Coinbase will be an available option for your customers to pay with if you have successfully connected the gateway. (Click Here for instructions on how to send an invoice link from an existing order in ClickFunnels 2.0.)
