This document will help you through the registration process when applying for the Payments AI gateway as a sole proprietorship from the USA.
Step 1: Add Your Business Information
When applying as a sole proprietor, under business type, be sure to select Sole Proprietor from the drop-down:
Step 2: Add your Business Address
This can be your personal address when applying as a sole proprietor.
Step 3: Add Your Name
Step 4: Open the Onboarding Form
Click the “Open Form” button to open the onboarding form where you will enter additional details as well as banking information:
Step 5: Complete ALL Sections of the Onboarding Form
Be sure to complete all the sections of the form as well as sign the Services Agreement and PCI DSS questionnaire. We will go through each section below.
Step 6: Personal Details
In the Personal Details section, complete all the areas marked below in yellow. Please note, if opt to upload an ID instead of entering the last 4 of your social security number, the automated systems may not be able to validate your information. It is recommended that you enter the last 4 digits of your SSN for quicker validation.
At the bottom of this page where it asks about the bank account where you will receive payouts, make sure this is selected as “My sole trader name”, which in other words, will be your personal bank account.
After you click Next, enter your personal address in the space provided. Continue on to the summary page where you can review your information, then click Submit.
Step 7: Sole Proprietor Details
In this section, go through each part of the menu on the left and make sure it is filled out completely.
Pay close attention to the area called “Registration Details”. As a sole proprietor, you will not have a tax ID number, but we will use your full social security number to verify your sole proprietorship. Please enter your full SSN in the field marked Tax Identification Number.
Do not tick the box that you do not have this number, just enter your SSN in that spot.
Once complete, continue on to the summary page where you can review your information, then click Submit.
Step 8: Payout Details
Follow the instructions on the page to verify your banking information. Continue on to the summary page where you can review your information, then click Submit.
Step 9: Sign Service Agreement and PCI DSS questionnaire
First, click on the service agreement, review, then choose your name from the drop-down and tick the box that you accept. Then click Sign.
In the same way, click on the PCI DSS questionnaire, review, choose your name from the drop-down and tick the box that you accept. Then click Sign.
If there are any errors in the form or any of the information cannot be validated, you will see a red tag that says “unsuccessful” next to that section. Go back into the section to find and correct the issue.
If everything is verified successfully, you will see a green tag that says “Verified.”
Once all sections and completed and verified you will be able to accept payments!
