A card statement descriptor, or billing descriptor as it is also called, is your company’s name as it will appear on the credit card statement of your customer. This descriptor should be specific and aid a customer in identifying the purchase made.
The default descriptor will be the URL you provide when setting up your Payments AI account. To change this, go to the Gateways tab located in the top menu bar.
Then, on the left-hand side, click Configure next to Payments AI:
Scroll down to Card Statement Descriptor and enter your description, the click Save:
The descriptor should be no more than 22 characters.
You can also choose to use a Dynamic Descriptor. This means that the descriptor will be generated by Payments AI.
